^^ just in time for September too. That would allow for some nice temps at that point of the year when we've lost 2 hours of daylight.. A nice payoff for suffering through the usual August sweat bath.

Last year was just awful. Please not another summer that extends into October.

Brief shower late last night added another .05". Total now .40". Not nearly enough to matter, but better than nothing.

PWS just east of me has 1". I got .35" Better than nothing, I suppose, but not by much.

It's really bad along 81. Just drove through it on my way home, but 1/4 mile west it's just moderate rain imby. Ridiculous.

Great day. Beautiful sunset now, and another gorgeous night on tap. Have my TV hooked up out on the patio watching football and drinking my first Octoberfest s of the season.

Very nice night. Got to spend it on the patio beside the firepit under a gorgeous, deep sky. Got rewarded with a few perseid meteors too. Pretty rare to have such clarity and comfortable temps in early Aug. A+.

Let's hope no more big heat. But summer is still here to stay for at least another 6 weeks, until we have seen the last 80F day.

Why on earth is an august heatwave interesting? 1. It's awful, and 2. It happens every single year.

Blew through fast. .14" per nearest PWS. Better than the usual nothing. At least it cooled it off some.

It has filled in to my SW and two systems have merged. Looks promising ATM for something. Fingers crossed. Good call.

Looks to me like it will slide just to my west, and then fulfill the prophecy as the storm to my north.

Nice line of storms to my east, northeast, southwest, and to my west. And before its over, I'm sure to my north as well.

Storm missed just to my SE, then another just to my NW an hour later. Good times.

4 days in a row of heavy rain in the forecast. I got .03" in a 20 minute minute drizzle. Hardly a cloud in the sky all day today.

My guess is whatever patter sets up is hot, humid, and -at least in MBY - dry.
