  1. Got 1/4th inch or so down but coverage is breaking up some. There's another good slug of moisture in Kentucky that hopefully makes it here.
  2. It's sideways snow here. Very windy.
  3. Steady snow here. 33 degrees. Gonna be close for my, I'm on the western edge so far.
  4. Seeing reports that this is leaving 2 or 3 inches across Indiana. Looks healthy still.
  5. Snow has been falling over the last 30 minutes. Didn't know if it would be rain or not, it's apparently cold in the upper levels.
  6. GFS opens December with the big winter event again this run. The Canadian looks like it was heading that way too. The GFS had the same storm in the 11-29 to Dec 1stish time frame the other day too.
  7. The GFS also ended with a power house cold front pressing into the area. One of those that has 65 degrees on one side and 20 on the other side, with below zero temps in Missouri.
  8. Anyone want to start a December thread? Models are now in range and the Euro, as Jeff noted, tossed an early December slider across the plate.
  9. The 18z is showing basically what Carvers mentioned above. Nice snow event for the Eastern Rim, over in Western NC, 40 and north.
  10. Is it me, or is the new 360 hour euro coming a little earlier/faster than the older version?
  11. The GFS and Canadian bring flakes in the air for my birthday timeframe. It's a gift I'd take above most any other.
  12. The snow event is back on the 12z gfs. Not as extreme as yesterday, but curious to see if it sticks with it.
  13. Lordy. This kind of storm has happened in November in the region. Obviously 1 in 50 year chance basically.
  14. Looks like fires have exploded across SE Kentucky this afternoon. I expect that here if we don't get rain tonight. And it's looking poor in that regard.
  15. The rain just will not move east. It blossoms once it gets into Kentucky but we can't get a drop to spread into East Tennessee.
  16. Still hasn't managed to rain here. I'm not sure what it is about the pattern that East Tennessee/SW Va can't get rain, while it rains in basically every direction around us. Incredibly, still no big fires here. That's the most surprising aspect of this particular dry stretch.
  17. Western areas getting slammed with heavy snow always equals warmth for here. Hopefully that flips.
  18. Rain fell apart before it got here. The tropical system is looking west of my area. Crossing my fingers and toes a brush fire doesn't start near by.
  19. GFS and others bringing heavy rains to the area with the tropical system. The GFS bringing some flakes to the Eastern Mountains and Plateau near mid-month. Highs in the 30s/40s on the 15th on that run.
  20. We've still not entered La Nina, been holding neutral since August. It's running later than expected and the chance of it happening has fallen from earlier in the year. Still a 60 percent chance. The strength of the Nina, like Nino, usually greatly impacts what actually happens weather wise.
