    That Trowel that you are showing will be moving NE and by the time we get air cold enough to produce snow it should be well north-east of us, correct? I have just about enough meteorological knowledge to make me dangerous.

    We in Knoxville are sitting around freezing or just above and because of CAD Augusta Ga has snow and sleet. This storm is really powerful.

    These temps in the valley are strange. Heavy rain started here at the house, and we had the temp go up, and now it is back down to freezing.

    Right after I posted this quote It started raining hard and our temp spiked. We are in sudden melt mode.

    Wow, I am shocked at the Temps in NC. Charlotte has 18 degrees and freezing rain. They are going to be devastated. I guess this storm is going to be one of the worst storms the US has seen on scale.

    Here in West Knoxville we still have 32 and rain. All our Ice is still on the trees. The Temperature has been very stubborn refusing to rise. I am sure we are about to go up anytime.

    I do not know if it means anything, but I do not see a single Weather underground station down the valley over 32. The one I saw at 32 was in Athens most are 28 29.

    I don't really have any help with the Immune issues My wife has Immune problems, but she does not have any weather related problems, take care of yourself and I have already prayed for you.

    Back in the snow again in West Knoxville. Do have sleet mixed in. Ground and roofs are getting white.

    We have gone over to mostly sleet in West Knoxville, with snow when it gets hard. I would imagine we will flip to Fr Rain soon.

    Is it not unusual for your temperature to be going down is this situation?

    I think with the early morning snow in Chattanooga and south we all got the Ideal that things were going to be early, and I guess that was true, but the main moisture was supposed to hold off until around 4 to 5pm. I think that is what is going to happen because even when I get what looks like good returns over me, it is just light snow. Of course as soon as I say that II am having my biggest dimes and Quarters right now. I even got a little white ground with that last round.

    Here in Knoxville I am getting a steady sleet snow and freezing rain.

    Still getting snow here in west Knoxville and have some heavy returns about to come over in the next 20 minutes.

    Finely got some really good returns coming across the plateau hopfully once they get into the valley we can start getting some real snow. @ShawnEastTNlet us know when you start picking these returns up.

    I was about to ask if this shot moving through was bringing you a good hit. I think it is the front edge of those better returns. The Warm Nose is on its heels however.

    There are a lot of hefty returns in middle TN, but they are not at present making it over the plateau into the valley. I think that should change shortly.

    i have 25 dBZ over my house and not a flake reaching the ground in West Knoxville. Just had to do an edit just saw a single flake.

    There seems to be a lot of dry air across the northern two thirds of Tennessee. The southern areas are getting snow or sleet. You can see this by the radar signature over Nashville and the hole that surrounds the radar site. Don't know how this is going to affect the forecast or if it will effect it at all.

    Snowing in Chattanooga… roofs and cars covered already Great to here. I am really rooting for you guys down there. I lived my whole childhood in Cleveland through my college years, and we were the one area of TN that would get shafted so many times. We're going to believe you guys are going to score big.

    Still have cloud definition here in West Knox with a few flurries coming down. Rates will have to pick up to amount to anything, Maybe we can score a good thumping before a transition.

    Just spotted the very first flake in West Knoxville. That was very fast I would have thought it would take longer for the column to saturate.

    Don't forget, we have an Obs Thread. Not to say that you can not post them here, but for the sake of a clean thread, it would be good to transition those posts to the other location.
