We're at about 15" here between November and now. Can't write the winter off yet, but I'm not feeling optimistic about it.

Mesos also developing around 100 J/KG of SBCAPE through the day as the mid-level lapse rates steepen. If you close your eyes it almost feels like May tracking thunderstorms
If you open your eyes and you look at your bare lawn, it’s the same thing.

Read that PWM peaked 12:06 PM, at 14.57 ft, 0.40 above the previous record. Peak must be 1.5-2 hours later at Pit 2. (It's about 4 hr behind PWM at AUG.)
That's my bad......the clock I was looking at was still on DST. It was at 12:56 here.

The moving ice gives a good sense of the reverse flow of the lower Kennebec's incoming tide.
Just noticed the log in the background.....it shows it too.

I just cleaned up this thread…what an embarrassment for some of you. Act like you’ve posted on the forums before and didn’t just get here from accuwx forums.
This is still a storm thread. If you have no interest in this event, then don’t post in here again. Go to the banter thread. That’s what it’s for.
LOL--Will got up on the wrong side of bed this morning.
We keep watching.

We go back and forth from a mix back to snow when heavier echoes move in, What a meh event, Calm winds after a G25
We’ve had some good gusts, but they have yet to approach the 55mph that’s in my p/c.
Maybe this is the storm that’ll take down this leaner—though I say that in every storm.

We've been having snow mixing in at times, but I'm pretty sure that's done as we've just hit 37.

Ripping fatties at Pit2. Won't last long at 35*.

I haven't been model-watching, but it seems pretty quiet in here. Is the midweek storm gone?

That’s a bold call…not sure I’d have the guts to go the over on a 15-day prog of 0F.

I’ll be at pit2 for the weekend. At least I’ll have some level of breeze.

Write it off for a loss—my snowblower was just repaired.
Monitoring some form of significant ( to be determined more precisely) impact winter storm, Jan 16/17th. Moderate seems to be the upper limit - for now
