    I was awakened at midnight by a storm here at Pit2. Came down to watch a fantastic show. It's quite a different vantage point when you have a mile of unobstructed ground level view (i.e.,water level).

    My sleep app recorded the storm—rain and thunder—as ambient noise.

    A fantastic storm overnight. Long-lasting, tons of thunder. rains were torrential. Six sations in the immediate area are showing over an inch. In the haze of sleep, I would have thought it would have been even more.

    Took my dog out for a walk at 5:00. Sun was out--didn't both looking at any radar. Got caught in a toerrential down pour. I thought we might actually make it through a day without rain. Unrelated: why is the NWS radar so crappy?

    Glad I made it up to Pit 2 yesterday. Warm and sunny--picture perfect. Looks like I'll keek out more sun today after the fog burns off. Then back to the rains of the Summer of '23.

    Lack of heat will keep it from feeling too bad. The summer equivalent of 'wasted cold'. Let the lowering sun angle commence.

    Glad I'm off tomorrow and Friday. Get a couple days at Pit2 when it actually won't be raining. And, the low 60's dew will be easy to manage while I mow what must be a jungle of a lawn.

    When we're not in the lawn thread we might need to talk boats and fish. I'm looking for a used CC. I really like the Key West 219FS but haven't found one in my age/price range. I'm seeing a KW 203 and a Sea Hunt 225--both 2016's. Any thoughts on either? TIA.

    Lawn has had rainforest-like grwoth here. I wan't able to get up to Pit2 this week--but word on the street is it's a jungle up there too.
