    I've seen one or two flakes mix in this morning but mainly just plain old rain. Not too excited about the long term either.

    Drove around some today before I had to make the journey home to Asheville. Just unbelievable views of Grandfather and Snake Mountain

    I’m so glad I came up here. Banner Elk was certainly the place to be. Roads are still a mess but it’s cold, snow is stuck on the trees, it’s just gorgeous

    It just abruptly stopped up here for me. We still look good upstream for the evening/night? edit: light break of snow lasted all of 20 mins. Hammering again

    It has been absolutely non-stop snowing this last hour. It's tiny flakes but just so heavy

    I've transitioned over into some big fat flakes and it's accumulating fast. Wind is picking up too. Perfect day.

    Drove around between Banner Elk and Seven Devils. Several accidents. The roads are in pretty rough shape.

    Roads are already covered up here. It's slacked off a bit since earlier this morning but I'm excited to get out and explore some once the sun comes up

    Heading up to Banner Elk tonight for the weekend! Decided to take my shot at seeing acucmulating snow because it ain't gonna happen in Asheville this winter!

    After this weekend, it's going to be a quiet few weeks on here... Glad that some of you scored some snow out of this pattern. But, yikes. I'm not looking forwards to 60s in January after getting blanked.

    Driving on 40 I might have just seen a flake or two. Big boom for me as of late.

    Don't you love seeing all that moisture in the upstate and midlands of South Carolina? I'm actually below freezing and the precip is now too far to my south after being too far north yesterday.....
