Pretty sure we can, and always have, ignored the RAP. Idk man I’m rooting for you to pull off a 1980 USA over Russia type of miracle here, but you were better off just not caring at all about this storm and being pleasantly shocked if that miracle did occur.

28. I started posting at eastern when I was 13 or so due to PDII. I don’t completely how I found eastern but I think it had something to do with a blog an nyc channel 2 meteorologist posted that referenced it. I missed the wright weather board days but eastern was definitely something, especially when everything was on one board rather than the sub regions we have now lol
Also I’m surprised by the lack of people <25. Are they all on the NYC subforum or is weather just not cool with the newest generation?

I believe the models won't have a clear solution for a long time given the past history of this year, and until the American models get the data they need, no trusting them. Anyone know why the SREFs mean is so off compared to other guidance? Is that suffering from the government shutdown as well?
Because the srefs are their own level of suckage.

In Pittsfield MA for the weekend. A balmy 6F with a nice few inches of snow on the ground. Nice reminder that winter actually does exist..

Don't do it....keep your eyes shut
I feel bad getting James hopes up but it does show some snow for the cape..

Doubt anyone cares but the ICON is suddenly well north..

I'm not sure I have ever heard such a loud rumble of thunder! Shook the house like an earthquake....geez
Ya it seems even louder than usual lol prefer snow but stuff like this in the middle of winter is pretty cool as well.
Just as I’m typing this a bolt hit probably only a few roads down. insanely loud/intense. Not making sleep easy.

Meanwhile down hear my house is shaking from thunder and I’ve seen at least a handful of lightning flashes now lol

No it doesn't
Euro has caved many times in the past
All models have had their fair share of problems with east coast storms, EURO definitely being one of them. And now with the euro running 4x a day I’m sure you will see just flip flops with it as you would with the gfs. I still would say the EURO is the best but it’s not sitting atop a mountain overlooking all the other models like it used to.

Eastern eastern end of Suffolk looks like it’s going to eat a ton of rain. Two bands are converging there and it doesn’t look like it’s in a rush to leave anytime soon

The euro still owes me a few feet of snow from Juno. Shift this a little west and lock it up for 200+ hours. Thank you.

Don’t even think we hit 40mph gusts here.
-
Rain was pretty impressive in that band. The wind on the other hand was practically non existent. Which I don’t mind lol
-
Wow here comes the rain. Hope this doesn’t sit over us for too long.
-
Call me crazy, but I am most “excited” to see how high the temps get. It’s currently 70F in cape hatteras at midnight lol bring on the one day torch. Then hopefully some snow on Christmas Eve..

Man all our posters from Washington County Maine are going to be furious if you bust!

Light rain here at the moment.

Flakes just starting to fly in Orange, CT
30/14

Sleet line has moved north of philly and is now going through Trenton. Curious to see if it slows down/washes out a bit. HRRR has it pretty much stalling right in that area for a few hours before rapidly moving north again.
31/12 and overcast here
-
Welp, was expecting a slight increase from the less than 1 inch, but now it’s 6-8? Huh alrighty then.
-
Curious us to see if Upton ups their totals as well. They are currently forecasting less than one inch for HVN which seems a little ridiculous to me. 2-4 seems more reasonable.
-
WWA here for 1-3 inches. Eh can’t complain for this time of year. Definitely a storm for the inland areas, some places could easily collect 6+ in CT.
