  1. Ok. I'm intrigued. Let's see how today's convection can screw this up. Most models have today's leftover convection passing offshore before 12z tomorrow morning. Hopefully it's out of gas, otherwise we run the risk of it throwing a backdoor well inland and beating back the warm front. But also....we may need that morning convection to add a little extra moisture to the air. Boy it is dry out there today. For those in eastern SNE, it is most certainly a race between convection and a potential backdoor. Ugh
  2. The GEM has rain from Monday at noon to Friday at noon.
  3. I mean, at this point, would a week long cut off really surprise anyone?
  4. Were there storms yesterday. Only managed a few sprinkles here. This dud of a weather stretch continues.
  5. That's a first. Using a baby as a scale.
  6. Got out again last Saturday when the sun came out. Caught a decent size pickerel. Like 15" or so. Was night to feel a half decent size fish again.
  7. Got out to a couple small development type ponds yesterday. Caught two of the tiniest large mouths I've ever seen. Like 8" long. Boy the water was cold though. Makes sense given the spring we've had. Imagine it's going to be a slow start to the year.
  8. I am driving my wife crazy because all I've been doing is chipping plastic balls in the house. lol.
  9. Bought my fishing license for first time in 12 years. College and first half dozen years of professional life got in the way. Excited to get back out there. Scouted some local spots around town last Sunday. May try tomorrow afternoon after it warms up some.
  10. What a gorgeous Miller B on the Euro & GFS for this weekend. (where was this in January?)
  11. It was decently breezy in the small showers that just came through.
  12. We've been tracking (severe weather) outbreaks for a month now. Just no where near here.
  13. It's really too bad it's not May and 75-80 degrees. Would be in for something good. Hell......there's a decently timed front moving through this afternoon and the sun is out this morning! We almost always get porked by morning clouds/convection.
  14. Even a little instability would go a long way. Nice looping hodographs too.
  15. Had more snow on the ground Thursday morning than this morning.
  16. I think I had more accumulations Thursday morning.
  17. HRRR doesn’t get much north of MA border. Kiss this one good by for me
  18. Must be. Worst supposedly still to come. Will see how she goes.
  19. After a breezy couple hours between 10-12. Been near calm last 30 mins and the sky is lightening.
  20. Low level jet looks nice for tomorrow. But have to imagine the relatively stable atmosphere reduces the frequency of wind gusts mixing to the surface. In the heavy downpours...sure. But just seems like these modeled southerly wind events don't often play out. We have better luck with strong CAA events than these southern ones.
  21. I'm going to be so disappointed if we don't get at least 1 modeled blizzard out of this.
  22. Looks at 00z guidance. Promptly throws computer out of window. Reaches for bottle of jack daniel's muttering something about where was this pattern in January?
