  1. This was 9 days ago and looks nothing like the upcoming pattern.
  2. You know deep down what will happen. A few cold days then warm up and rain.
  3. It was modeled about 7 to 10 days ago. Before that, the weeklies and long range ENS continued to say cold or average and stormy. Now the Pac Jet has taken over again. The fact is, this winter has been much like the last few. Temperatures have been slightly cooler but no synoptic storms, miller A's, ULL, etc.
  4. The weeklies also showed the whole month of January being great into February at one point. We all see how that turned out. One week of cold temperatures and some snow in the mountains
  5. Even at day 10 there is no cold at all in Canada. It's going to take a while for any pattern change. Likely post Valentines day if it happens at all.
  6. This wind has been worse tonight than last night here.. wind chill hovering between 0 and 5.
  7. My question, how the heck do you all find the time to take these great pictures?!
  8. It's 29 here but seems to have stopped rising. Don't think we crack freezing
  9. Only 18 here. Wind kept going all night. Cold but not frigid.
  10. 20 or so years ago when I was a teenager trout fishing was so much better and places like the Upper Wilson Creek tributaries were somewhat secluded. I would catch huge native brookies (which is like 10 inches) Now it's a shitshow up there in the spring. Same with South Toe and other places. The road being washed out helped a little up there. Covid really brought the people to places I never expected to see full. Now it's almost always full.
  11. Chasing native brookies. Something that's getting harder and harder these days.
  12. I'm a little disappointed we haven't had better rates since the heavy band earlier. A lot has melted and the sun has been out for the majority of the afternoon. Still grateful to see snow!
  13. Right at an inch here. Slackened off but I hope that band thats hitting Met makes it here
  14. Side roads starting to get covered in west asheville
  15. Beautiful snow in Asheville. Good dusting already
  16. Few flurries in West Asheville. Hope to see a dusting while at work today
  17. Thank goodness they treated roads here. They are all covered in ice
  18. And Eli Manning is staring at him from the other sideline.
  19. We are about the break the longest streak ever for no snow and the long range looks like a disaster. What makes you optimistic?
