    Depending on where in the NEK you live, it could be tough. There is retail in Derby/Newport and Littleton, NH. Not a lot in between.

    Plenty of people complain. They’ve gone to different treatment options in some places and have stopped using salt altogether in some sensitive areas. There are also cost considerations, some alternatives are more expensive than salt and not always as effective.

    Growing up in the 70’s and 80’s in central VT -20’s were pretty common and -30 not rare in the colder spots. Canaan and Island Pond regularly reported -30 or more. I can remember Canaan being the coldest reading in the lower 48 numerous times.
