It is pounding snow now outside the office. High wind and visibility is 1/4-1/2sm. Turning white in the past hour.

Flowers don’t stand a chance. Wind flattened them and now snow will freeze them.

You hate to see it.

Yeah we flipped to snow around 10am in the Stowe base area at 1,500ft and it's been snow since but nothing is sticking. Small flakes on very strong winds. I'd bet we are pushing 40mph gusts in the base area at times. Water trying to drip off the roof top is actually defying gravity and blowing back up the roof due to the wind, ha. Over to snow now here in the base area at 1,500ft. Not going to stick at these temps now but it will later. But it's snowing, ha.

38F and pouring rain at 1,500ft. Snow level seems to be around 2500-3000ft. Already a quick inch at 3,100ft snow board. Lovely cold squally weather.

Won't lie, ULL overhead is usually good for the mountains with the upslope flow creating the low level convergence under the upper level lift. Healthy cold pool moving directly overhood from WNW to ESE. Convective graupel is likely.

This is a solid signal from the 12z EURO. A 6-hour panel with greater than 0.30" QPF over the Spine and temps of -2C at 925. Has it ending as snow even at MVL.

What a day down there. 50-52F with lower visibility mist and ceilings at 400 feet all afternoon. This is how one draws up spring weather.

Nice man. I like the plain white subway tiles. We did ours a few years ago to a more tan color but if I did it again I’d go white backsplash.

Yeah Mansfield is still buried above 2,500ft with 50+ inches on the ground at the stake. The upslope signal is pretty solid. Look at that low level omega/lift but the dendrite growth zone is above it so it'll likely be dense small flake/graupel type stuff.

I don't use Twitter... except I do like reading through baseball twitter for highlights and clips. I'm more of a photo guy (shocking), instagram is my jam. Still good snow on the hill. It had been 6 days since I'd even walked on snow, needed to spend some time checking things out after a trip away.

As of 337 PM EDT Monday...Forecast remains on track for Wednesday and Thursday to be the worst weather days of the week as the core of an anonymously cold closed upper low (-30C at 500mb) moves over the region. After a dry start to the day, we should see numerous valley rain and mountain snow showers develop by Wednesday afternoon across the entire region and continue through much of the overnight across central/northeast Vermont with snow levels dropping to the valley floor by midnight.

65F here today, pretty nice temp with low RH. Looking up at the mountain from the base area, still a lot of snow on the hill. Going to be a long melt this season. Looks like some upslope accumulations possible even down through 1500ft on Wednesday night.

Yeah absolutely. It’s 75F at MSS in N.NY as warmth streams northward between that High along the coast and the Low up near James Bay.

Just got back to Stowe from Long Island… nicest weather was LI this morning and then from your area of I-91 up through VT and this area actually was warmest. Saw some 63-64F temps up north here on car thermometer and full sun. Was funny to see highway signs of towns in western CT that many on here live in, ha. Not much green outside of LI. Merritt Parkway area wasn’t leafed out by any means. Still seemed largely stick season but some flowers and ground color about. Also learned people down there think of NH as New Hampshire not New Haven. Based on a poster’s comments here in the past I always wondered if that was a CT thing. They just thought I was still drunk from the wedding.

I loved in this series of posts one after another it was shown to be low 50s by Will and Scooter and somehow those obs got ingested by the KFS and came out 55-60F .

Some healthy upslope signals on some of these runs for the mountains.
