  1. They will convert spots with more than 5" expected to warnings later and downgrade to WWA for those not meeting the Winter Storm Warning criteria
  2. How bout some thunder snow per Steve DiMartino at NYNJPA Weather?
  3. 12z NAM with more cold but less snow for all
  4. The HRRR gets the 850mb temps to freezing all the way up to the southern LHV
  5. Could be.....just a wee bit out of the range I count the NAM as accurate.....
  6. If this were to be real.....it would follow the usual relative climo sweet spots that go from Eastern Lanco - NW Chesco - Berks to Southern LHV
  7. My bad and Wrong! snowier at 7pm.....models are fun!!
  8. The 0z 3k NAM looks a bit drier at 4pm.....than 18z
  9. If it wasn't for the relative consistent CMC I would agree....let's see what the NAM which me thinks will not be too far of a drift from the HRRR shows...
  10. The first evening model 0z HRRR has an extremely sharp modeled snow vs ice pellets/freezing rain signal that would make a big difference from say Philadelphia vs. Northwest Chester/Berks/Lehigh Counties. With no more than 2 inches at Philly with plenty of non snow mixing to a solid 7" to 10" across NW Chesco up thru the LHV and points northeast. Not a forecast but something to keep an eye on.
  11. Not saying I buy it but Dr NO has been Mr Right so far this winter....we shall see!! I expect a big bogus NAM run at either 0z or 6z that will get the weenies rolling!!
  12. Winter Storm Watch for the West and North Philly burbs including the Lehigh Valley for 5" to 8" possible.....
  13. Never a fan of the CMC seems to over amp - suspect the European will come in between the 2 extremes of the GFS vs CMC and make most folks on here quite happy! IMHO
  14. Here in Chester County, we have started 2025 off as the 9th coldest January in the last 45 years. Only 2 days so far this year have featured above normal temperatures. Today and tomorrow could be the last above normal days through the end of this month. Some light rain tomorrow that could start as a bit of snow before the main snow event looks to arrive by late Sunday morning. The snow should stop by later Sunday evening. While it is snowing on Sunday temperatures will slowly fall during the afternoon into the teens by Sunday evening. During the day Monday temperatures will struggle to escape the mid to upper teens across the county. We will then see lows within a couple of degrees of zero both Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

  16. I would think we see a Winter Storm Watch by this evening....
