I notified all my Facebook friends in the area to either stay off the roads or get off them once the squall comes through. No reason to risk your life when it will pass in 30 ins
When I say I looked out my window I mean it was like a white wall It was Insane

I had light snow for about 10 minutes and I thought "Another bust", but then BOOM heavy blinding snow out of nowhere. I measured a legit 1 inch of snow on my cleared off porch. The rates were insane!!! It was well worth the wait. I don't like the looks of the US-222 accident, though. Very unfortunate.
Right around the corner from me, I heard the sirens going like crazy then turned the scanner on it doesn't sound good

I apologize its here Lol, the radar I was looking at had no returns at all

just judging by the radar it looks to be falling apart as it approaches

29 4.25” just light flurries, this storm reminded me of the November storm heavy rates for a short time. At least it’ll be around for a few days

Yeah the HRRR is actually completely off with current radar. Precip is filling back in and falling nicely here, but the HRRR says we shouldn't see anything until 3pm. We could pick up an inch or two until 3pm if the current rates hold.
yeah the heaviest so far here to

I’m not even that jacked up for this anyway, 1-3 2-4 3-5 whatever. With that said still very light snow falling 27 Dp23

I know most are concerned with this next 'event' tomorrow into early Wednesday then the cold snap Thursday but wanted to break the bad news.....MJO progs and new weeklies hot off the presses have basically put the nail in the coffin for the remainder of winter at least thru mid March. At least there is some solace in the fact a few of us saw the signals a while back earlier in the season and kept expectations firmly in check.
Wouldn’t that be funny if it’s wrong and we get into a decent pattern instead. I doubt it quite frankly if it’s correct and winter is truely over, let it be then and with any luck March will transition into Spring smoothly and we can all put this winter in the past.

This isnt a Miller b this is anafront snow behind an arctic fropa.
Is this setup similar to the November storm?
-
Mt Holly still going with 2-4 for Berks.
-
So looks like a general 2-4 out here in the far NW burbs and Warning snow 6+ in the Southern Poconos and NW Jersey, asoc now anyway
-
Expectations tempered at this time, Ill be interested tomorrow better yet when and if it actually happens.

Just had a brief snow shower roll through about an hour ago and coat the deck, but I blinked and it was gone.

Early spring on many of the ens now. Complete PAC breakdown and in the ATL side we finally get a neg NAO except it links up with the SE ridge in a full latitude ridge with AN temp regime in the East and deepl trof out West. I mentioned before that we could score a fluke late season storm but anything sustained in Feb is looking less and less likely at this point. There really is no way to sugarcoat it and I wish I had a more optimistic view going forward but I'm not one to spew glass half full garbage just to appease people. Maybe something will change and I will be completely wrong with Feb.....hopefully. I would love to take my children snowboarding and snowtubing.
Yeah I was being sarcastic with the interesting times ahead reference. I’ve given up hope at this point and finally come to the realization that it’s just one of those years we don’t score, the worst part is we have to suffer through 2 months of this before Spring.
