Heavy squalls coming thru now. About 1/4 visibility here. -
I would say all the nickle and dimes will put us over 25. I still believe we are going to get an 8 + last week Feb or early March. Just a gut feeling. My shovel needs dusted off.

Light snow with about a mile visibility here. Pavement is wet. 35 degrees.

3.75 on the ground here. Models did a pretty good job I think in the last couple days. Anywhere from 3 in eastern and central Allegheny county to 5 over in Westmoreland Co.. Not a big storm but the biggest so far for us this year. Also better than what most of us thought earlier in the week when it looked like we would get our usual inch or less on the back end. Let's push for 6-8 on the next storm in the next couple weeks. Here's hoping.

Canadian scores a nice 5 for our area. It can go either way but we are in the game. Rush hour tomorrow may be are heaviest snow burst in years. Here’s hoping unless your driving in it.

Yep sounds about right. Still possible for 2-4 or so. It looks like rush hour could be dicey tomorrow morning. Heaviest snow will be early am.

Since the super bowl is boring.....I thought I’d jump in here with my pessimistic thoughts on this weeks storms. I have a hard time believing that we get a triple barrel low. Odds are always in our favor for rain with an inch or less back end snows. Sometimes you have to try reverse psychology

A nice batch of moderate snow still coming down. Picked up a solid inch.

Canadian has done a good job on this swath of snow this evening. I have picked up about a quarter inch on the grassy areas.

The next couple weeks look better for snow with cold dropping in out of Canada. Let’s hope it holds. A snowy February would make up for this winter so far. Fingers crossed.

Looking more and more like this weekend will be rain and some wraparound snow showers with 1-3 Sunday thru Monday if we're lucky. Seems to be a possible storm next weekend of course things will change day to day until then.

We were due for a below average Winter. I like most of you am tired of being nickeled and dimed and would rather have a big 12 + snow. Maybe it can still happen. We can only hope!

History is on their side for 1-2 if that but we are long overdue for a surprise. They do happen every 15 years or so. 10% chance we get a surprise 4. I can feel it. ☃️

Since we all know we are getting our usual dose of mix to rain on Saturday ...... I am still looking at Tomorrow, Thursday. NWS Pittsburgh is showing a 20% chance of slight snow showers tomorrow and tomorrow night. I still think we are going to get some decent snow showers tomorrow and some areas may pick up an inch if they get under a nice band. Who knows, it might actually be more snow than we get this weekend.

While all the attention is on the Saturday storm, as it should be, some models are showing some decent snow showers on the back-end Wed night and Thursday am. Not anything big but don't be surprised if some areas pick up an inch or less. We'll see how it pans out.

I agree 100%. The front end thump hardly ever verifies. (Maybe in the 70's and 90's but not recently.) This mid week rain storm is looking stronger so this may impact the weekend storm one way or another. Things are looking better however so we shall see.

As usual we will be in the battle zone for precip type but from next Saturday on, there will at least be some interest and things to track. I am looking forward to it.

Wow!!! That squall gave me 35 mph winds and a dusting. Back in the 1970's Joe Denardo would have called that a scattered snow shower.

I think we would all be happy with a 2-4 inch Clipper system. Then we can get a 12+ system in February.
