Hey 3 potentials in the next week with 2 smaller storms in between should keep us busy while we wait.

I had to take different measurements cause of blowing snow. I got anywhere from 1-3 so 2.0 is my total. Nice to get some snow but I didn’t get to see any of it fall because I was sleeping. I want a daylight storm. Oh well. A new week begins.

Nice picture. I am 2 hours west of you and still have moderate rain. We here may end up with zero inches from this storm.

Forecast overnight has gone from 1-2 to less than an inch. I may be salting frozen grass in the morning.

I just got back from the movies. Out on McKnight road not a lot of cars. But a lot of rain and hydroplaning.

We lead the league in winter storm warnings downgraded to winter weather advisories. and we also lead the league in having the least amount of winter storm warnings.

My new updated forecast. This Afternoon Rain. High near 35. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. How did that happen in just a 12 hour period?

The weather channel has a guy in cranberry Twp.

I like how it says an ADDITIONAL 3-6 inches in the weather statement. Who got any already?

I am cooking lasagna. Weather wise I feel like I’m watching a steeler game and we are 10 point favorites and we are down 21-3 in the first quarter. Ouch

btw I would like to be wrong and start out and get a surprise front end thump of snow. For all the people that lurk on here and don’t post we all want it to snow heavily but unfortunately this happens. Some days it will happen but most times it will not. Next week we will all be back here doing it again. It’s fun and it’s our hobby and we can’t help it. Heck I’ll be here all weekend and will be excited tomorrow when we get our backend snow and wind and cold and we will be watching next week. There is nothing wrong with it. I went through it as a steelers fan this fall. Nowcast time....I have some light white snow pellets falling

The weather channel has just changed my local forecast to periods of rain with occasional mixing changing to 1-3 inches overnight. That was what the majority of us were saying on Monday. You can’t argue with history. It is what it is.

I agree. Nobody is changing anything in our area not even WPC. Are they being cautious or do they not trust this WTOD? Fingers crossed. Remember it is nowcast time. F the models and time to sky watch.

One last thing and I am done posting until tomorrow when the snow begins. I am disappointed in the trends like everyone else but I still think we will do okay. My guesses. Blending the models we can get the Southern part of the county 2-4. Central county 4-6 and north county 6-8. It will start as snow and if it holds on we could get some decent snow early and it will be daylight so I’m going outside to enjoy what falls. Let’s hope if it goes to rain it is light and changes after dark. I feel like I just watched a Steelers game and get all worked up for a last minute loss. But as I get older I get over it quicker and get on to the next game. Let’s get SOME snow tomorrow and the pattern is ripe for some cold and more snow in the coming weeks. Maybe some clippers and when we get them they seem to be more enjoyable because we don’t have the precipitation issues.

Well put. The Canadian went a little bit north but still gives us our best chance of accumulating snow. It is nowcast time. Let’s wake up and hope it starts as snow and doesn’t change over too early. Are we in for a surprise? You never know but I would put our odds at about 30%. Good luck everyone.

What part of Pittsburgh are you in? When you say it "screws us" are you saying the entire region or just a portion of the County? Just asking. Thanks
