  1. 30.5 moderate snow. 1/2". Need 1.5 to bring me to 12.
  2. Maybe that house fire last night warmed the lower levels.
  3. I love the tracking and I love the actual snowfall, but within a day after the storm passes, I want it all gone. (But then start over with another storm 4-5 days out.) That's my ideal winter.
  4. 11.8F. If I can shave off exactly 2 more degrees, I'll beat yesterday's season low of 9.9. At least there's something weather-related to get "excited" about.
  5. If they're suggesting a 60% chance of greater than 4", I think it follows that they need to alert the public to at least 4" on the upper side. Like a 2-4" event for that area, maybe even 3-6. That would cover most of CT. Whether any guidance hints at this is another question.
  6. I was at the house in Woods Hole for this one, planning to put up new gutters. One of about 3 times I've been there when it snowed. It was just stunning in the duality of ferocity and beauty.
  7. Final: 2.5 frozen inches. 19.8F. NW gusts to 19mph. Lopi is roaring in the parlor. Time for the feet to go up, and a nice gin hot toddy.
  8. I actually find it more interesting than if it were just snow. I've got snow that's encrusted by sleet and ice, and starting to turn into concrete.
  9. 2" snow, followed by FZRN, and then a coating of sleet. About ended here. Temp dropped 8 degrees in last 90 minutes- 22F. All surfaces have an compacted, icy, crusty glaze. Kev: Neighbor just slid down his driveway and took out a 6' Holly bush!
  10. Exactly. Region 14 here has a pop-op on the website alerting to the school closure, and right under that they remind parents, kids, and teachers what the updated end date has been revised to in June.
  11. Definitely better in last 15 minutes, nice radar growth to the southwest as the S/W tracks in from the O/V.
  12. Maybe 3/4" here. Radar crappy. HRRR has us filling in around 9am. That's our only hope for anything close to 3, I think.
  13. Gonna be a nice little event for most of us in here. Maybe some 300 year-old trees will get covered in ice and come crashing down onto powerlines and buildings so those people are happy, too.
  14. A go-around, or did they make it on the first attempt?
  15. NW Mass and S Vermont about to get completely obliterated.
  16. First light flakes and heavy winds. Popped out of nowhere.
  17. I didn't realize there was something called a "Squall Warning." According to the NY office.
