  1. What a terrible summer for the yard.
  2. What are they saying? Webb still think he knows it all?
  3. We've had plenty that did not do that. And some dud Ninos.
  4. Just in time to dump on Wilmington.
  5. Don't blame me! So much hate directed at Scooter.
  6. Sit your tushy on the sprinkler and giggle.
  7. Nah, just how it is. I love snow, but these one month spurts of winter amid 6 months of barren wasteland get old. Hopefully we can get something to actually resemble the season. We are sort of due as the east has sucked up the warmth compared to the mid section of the country.
  8. It’s been great. Hot, humid summers and warm SSTs. Get used to it.
  9. As it should be. We have a week left before we say goodbye. Then it will be Sumtember, Torchtober, Mowvember before we get to Dewcember. Then we hope for 6 weeks of winter starting in Tanuary.
  10. Look at George throwing these posts/stats around.
  11. It's more about how uncomfortable it was in the house with June conditions outside and all that baking haha.
  12. Just hold off the wedge until Monday if at all.
  13. That airmass on the GFS later Thursday into Sat morning may pack a little punch from CNE on north. a sneaky shallow, but cool airmass for 36 hrs or so. Going to be PF's diurnal fetish maybe Saturday.
  14. It did release records amounts of water vapor into the stratosphere. I know some were worried about exacerbating GW.
  15. Also if it is cooling the stratosphere in the srn Hemi, my guess is the same would happen in the northern hemi. If anything that sort of argues for higher tropical activity?
  16. I know some believe it's affecting the Strat in the Srn Hemi...but I don't know how much material went north of the equator.
  17. To accomplish what we are doing now in the age of fantastic remote sensing to classify TCs is pretty much unprecedented. People don't realize how catastrophic it was from the 30s to early 60s. The NPAC is also shut down too. The EPAC was busy, but now that is coming down to normal % of ACE. Of course with the role of hurricanes moving heat from the tropics to polar regions, it makes me wonder how that gets messed up?
  18. ACE as a whole if I am not mistaken has been decreasing in the NHEM lately. Jun_Aug TORS in the states will likely be at all time lows. While we need more sample size....as Tip has said regarding the tropics...this SHOULD also get some research and attention. Is it possible a warming world is screwing around with large scale circulations like Walker/Hadley cells and causing this? Who knows. Unfortunately, I feel like the community is scared to openly admit if indeed their could be a correlation to AGW and thus making the problem seem less important to the general public. That is NOT how science is supposed to work.
  19. I just want to vomit from those stats.
  20. Waters have been near 70 there last several summers.
  21. It's right near HVN. Probably shallow and loaded with warm river water and crap from the city. Regardless, waters are warm down there.
  22. The ones on the NDBC site are all in the 70s with some upper 70s. Obviously still very warm.
  23. I see 70s there? Low 80s is unheard of.
  24. Records for low activity all over.
