  1. I see 3 issues Tuesday. One is the s/w at hr 66 that’s flying off the coast here and sort of stealing some baroclinic energy. Second is the main s/w trough that has a s/w off the SE coast at hr 84 and the stronger one to the NW. it just looks like they compete and can’t congeal in time for a bigger deal. But a ribbon of fronto is not out of the question.
  2. Need Bob to start a thread. Hope he’s ok.
  3. It was so bad cars were sliding down the Zakim Bridge into the tunnel.
  4. Yep. Classic 1” to flash freeze. Right before the big 12/5/03 storm
  5. Hey snow on NE winds. I’m floored lol. That’s the yore that I recall.
  6. Canadian has a light event, but you can see the dueling competition with the low off the cape and then the one off the SE coast.
  7. It sounds like this is getting pretty serious up in Portland.
  8. Except for a 10 mile wide swath in nrn Ma it has blown for all.
  9. Might start as a mix briefly and looks like it will zip along. Wherever it pivots and develops a meso low will be the heavier amounts.
  10. Nothing is confident in this winter lol. But yeah right at the tail end of the month. This winter needs to improve quick or we are high risk of being BN snowfall for sure.
  11. Jesus it’s gusting over 60 just SE of me. Virtually calm here.
  12. Pacific does rapidly improve. That’s a good EPO and actually a workable +NAO with it.
  13. Funny that we have a ridge on the west coast and we’re worried about something offshore. We’ll see how today goes, but nothing would surprise me in this shit winter so far.
  14. You have been benefiting from more easterly flow I think these last two storms vs more SSE.
  15. I like seeing the deep moisture through the column with those TTs. In fact nam probably would be easily a few inches where that starts to pivot lol. Tries to develop a low like Brian said.
  16. Good thread. It’s definitely impressive looking on hires. And Kevin is right. Those winds could be real nasty across many areas.
  17. 1.25” so far. Luckily firehose has been just west where they’ll be at 2” soon.
