  1. I noticed on the 12z run it looked like the PV to the north was ever so slightly exerting some force to the south. Haven’t looked at 18z, but it’s a tad colder.
  2. For those who want a lesson on how a block can successfully work. Loop the 18z gfs and take a look at 500mb anomalies or vorticity from a NAMR point of view. What looks like something that should ram into our fannies is kept under us and redevelops. That high does not retreat but remains entrenched.
  3. Yeah I don't fear climo until after mid March usually.
  4. Same. But, given some other atmospheric features, I did not expect to be crucified in the snow department.
  5. Better EPS run today. Difference seems to be more out west (a bit less-PNA) and then this secondary ridge near AK. All sort of helping in tandem.
  6. Ray coming out to Living in America...while the -PNA (Drago) awaits.
  7. If the PNA can change……and the NAO can change…….everyone’s winter can change!!!!
  8. Of course when we have a decent airmass, the s/w grinds to shit like on the euro.
  9. Yeah I was comparing similar areas in the snow shield to get a thermal sense because taking the sounding at the same location is night and day between NAM and GFS,
  10. GFS soundings don't really show that classic warm bulge aloft compared to the NAM. Not sure that makes sense at all. The NAM does show this, ..but maybe the whole solution is too far north. So take the soundings, but think about a possible correction south.
  11. It wouldn't shock me is 925ish cooled a bit, but it's tough to buy snowier solutions with these set ups. Still have some time to go.
