Some of my friends in SNH love to rub it in @NHDrySlot with NE winds saying it won't snow here and needing N winds. Up until this year..most of the snows here come on NE winds lol. A decent airmass is fine...ala 12/16/07 with screaming east winds and temps of 31F. But yeah this year...can't buy a good antecedent airmass.

Because it's going to go from like 33-34 and slush to 22 and freeze everything up with some snizzle. Wherever that sets up.

GFS about 4-6 up to Mark to Dendy. 3-4 near MHT.

Euro is not that cold outside the tuck. It's not much different than the mesos. The mesos got colder aloft.

That airmass wasn't exactly warm. It was 534 thicknesses. Just the right combo on ingredients.

The euro verbatim was a good airmass inland and quickly raced to the coast to dump over a foot.

I wonder if it's because the low is further south. IOW, less of an ageostrophic response with the low further SE. But no doubt just aloft it is much cooler.

They’ll be a lull, but temps will drop in the aftn. There might be some very fine flakes or snizzle, but it will be slippery for sure.

The gfs has a decent thump with the euro and that would be 6-8 for mark to dendrite. Also it gets cold and a decent wind profile over that done would probably allow for hours of crud building up. Lots of easterly flow aloft over that dome. But the nam which I fear may be more right than wrong, would fly pellets north to the whites. If that happens it’s advisory snow. So after looking finally, I’d be conservative I think.
