  1. So a tad NE of 00z near our latitude. Probably a hair faster and a hair east.
  2. 60+ river east! The wind field will expand, but I don’t see that intense transition near us.
  3. Gustav was a much more potent transitions than this will be. This still have warm core characteristics right up to our latitude.
  4. Looks like a flooder near and north of 84 over the next couple of hours.
  5. Yep agree. I am not ruling out that it comes closer, I just think given everything I see it may tick more east than what the current euro shows. That’s all. Don’t shoot me lol.
  6. I feel like my comment yesterday is working out fine. GFS too Far East and euro too far west. In the end a compromise
  7. 18z euro was coming NW. it was clear to many. Yep the jog west surprised me, but again, this lacks the big features imo for a big region wide impact. Could it happen? I suppose, but I give it a small chance. For the record I haven’t been far off from the NHC so you can bash them too. I don’t forecast with weenie emotions. I’ve been doing this for many many years.
  8. The tropicals and 6z gfs look good to me. 40-50 gusts near BOS. Perhaps 60 cape. Period of rain on coast. Definitely more than I thought two days ago. But I think 18z euro was too amped.
  9. There’s not much convection, so I don’t see how latent is viable. Also models take that into consideration, this isn’t 1999 anymore. GFS did move west (not 200 miles) but euro probably too tucky as usual. That’s just my thoughts. We see this happen many times. A compromise.
  10. Tropical models ticked west but 00z euro stabilized. I wonder if we do see things tick east. We’ll have to see what guidance does today.
