  1. The statistical models seem weak to moderate...maybe that weighs in? But I look at those and pretty much toss em.
  2. Pretty good chance between now and tomorrow aftn many areas see a lot. Some models nailing S coast.
  3. If the ridge out west retros, SE ridge will move in. But I think for big heat we need pieces of that ridge out west to break off.
  4. Might get a break for a couple days next week, but overall I don't see any change really. No oppressive heat, just lots of 80s and higher dews overall. Maybe a few 90F reading thrown in.
  5. Don't have space to post (need to clear images out), but it's your classic stalled WF and lots of convection from robust instability. You can view it on weather.cod or tropical tidbits.
  6. Tomorrow is a little intriguing. Decent mid level lapse rates and good instability. May see a pocket of convection in morning across south coast and then during the day western and central areas, moving east eventually.
  7. Warm and muggy. Workouts have definitely been more challenging in this weather.
  8. The fact the announcers had no clue as they pronounced those names is mind blowing
  9. Not sure if flooding is the issue later tomorrow and Friday, but could be on Sunday.
  10. One of my team members has family in Londonderry VT. The river almost came to their house, but luckily OK. Lots of damage pics though.
  11. May/June 2006. March 2010. Also we had some events in late June 98.
  12. The waters are warm for sure. But I guess when you look at the data Dendrite showed...this doesn't seem like a sudden occurrence. Especially if it's dry.
  13. It looks like SW FL and the keys have been warm, but also dry. So more sun may be part of the issue.
  14. Every now and then when I'm on the X-way...I look over at that and shake my head. What a disaster for like 2 seasons there.
  15. What about using ORH in the winter to see how much ice accreted on a hill in NE CT?
