  1. I think it does turn pretty darn humid after the 12th or so. Maybe a bit cooler than July.
  2. Yeah it needs to have the axis over the GL. Probably will after the 12th or so, but until then it's not a prolonged warm and humid pattern.
  3. Yeah definitely interesting. I hope it holds.
  4. I don't hate the CFS...and CANSIPS looks pretty dam tasty.
  5. Just pull the blues 3000 miles west into the west coast.
  6. We didn't have that big NW Canada ridge I don't think. But the trough retros to GL after 8/12.
  7. Might be a couple of COC shots next week. Not like this, but perhaps 78-85 and lower dews. Gets more humid post 8/12 or so.
  8. Then again recent Christmas’ feature cool July weather.
  9. It's not big heat, but probably turning more humid with mid to upper 80s or so. Depends on how fronts get hung up. Some models show it just south which would be a bit cooler, albeit still humid. Maybe another shot of lower dews later Saturday into Monday.
  10. Indeed BOX said there was no tornado in Chaplin. Lol.
  11. Nah not broken. Just older. Also, part of the allure for me is the ability to witness things I've never experienced before. I think the last 15 years has checked off all the boxes. What more is there? I remember up until the Bliz of '96, the 2' storm was on my list. Every year the thought of being balls deep was a huge driver as we headed into winter. I've been fortunate enough to see some things I could only dream of growing up in the 80s. I'm very humbled by that.
  12. That sums it up. I love snow and winter and even a 6" storm will get the mojo going, but I feel more alive as you said when it is warmer. But I also can't just up and move like pickles can. Maybe if I was single I'd buy a shallow burial ground at 2K in VT...but I am grounded near BOS for multiple reasons. I'm also someone who likes to do things and the thought of being by myself in a cabin just for upslope snow is disturbing. I need some sort of civilization.
  13. I know some don't feel that way, but it's been noticeable for me over 40. Ratters will happen...but in those winters where we got some slightly AN snowfall...it came kind of quick, and then the rest of the winter we were left with our Schmenza in our hands.
  14. I mean overall from Nov-Mar. 4 weeks of winter surrounded by ass. I just find the season long and depressing when we go for weeks without anything good. I'm not looking at it from overall snowfall. I love winter, but I find it tough to deal with when things aren't scattered throughout the season.
  15. Couple more shit winters and I'll be in FL. The season is too long for weeks of 40 and rain. So I just appreciate that tropical FL vibe in summer. At least summers have been producing.
  16. Will be a lot of upper 80s and higher dews. This is gone after Thursday.
