  1. Indeed BOX said there was no tornado in Chaplin. Lol.
  2. Nah not broken. Just older. Also, part of the allure for me is the ability to witness things I've never experienced before. I think the last 15 years has checked off all the boxes. What more is there? I remember up until the Bliz of '96, the 2' storm was on my list. Every year the thought of being balls deep was a huge driver as we headed into winter. I've been fortunate enough to see some things I could only dream of growing up in the 80s. I'm very humbled by that.
  3. That sums it up. I love snow and winter and even a 6" storm will get the mojo going, but I feel more alive as you said when it is warmer. But I also can't just up and move like pickles can. Maybe if I was single I'd buy a shallow burial ground at 2K in VT...but I am grounded near BOS for multiple reasons. I'm also someone who likes to do things and the thought of being by myself in a cabin just for upslope snow is disturbing. I need some sort of civilization.
  4. I know some don't feel that way, but it's been noticeable for me over 40. Ratters will happen...but in those winters where we got some slightly AN snowfall...it came kind of quick, and then the rest of the winter we were left with our Schmenza in our hands.
  5. I mean overall from Nov-Mar. 4 weeks of winter surrounded by ass. I just find the season long and depressing when we go for weeks without anything good. I'm not looking at it from overall snowfall. I love winter, but I find it tough to deal with when things aren't scattered throughout the season.
  6. Couple more shit winters and I'll be in FL. The season is too long for weeks of 40 and rain. So I just appreciate that tropical FL vibe in summer. At least summers have been producing.
  7. Will be a lot of upper 80s and higher dews. This is gone after Thursday.
  8. I’m BSing a bit too. Like I said inthe other thread, yesterday was a nice change. Kids went swimming at a pool party. I do outdoor stuff when I can. I don’t mind the dews when I’m doing that. I don’t have 4K mtns in my backyard so I can see why some prefer lower temps. I just enjoy the summer vibe of warmth and dews. Used to hate it back in the day, but I have more fun in the summer vs winter, as much as I love snow. The cold season is slowly dwindling down so I’m enjoying warmer summers instead.
  9. I went hiking earlier this week in the morning. Worked up a sweat, but it was fine. Came down back to Winni. Great week with warmth and dews. Not sweat shirts and cool breezes with outies becoming innies from wind chills when exiting the water. Like a crab going back to its shell.
  10. By Labor Day I’m ready for it, but summer is short and lots of things to do.
  11. Zzzzzzz. Not sure why people went so active in a nino. There’s more to it than SSTs.
  12. Yeah some question that, especially if TDS was in two scans. Brockton damage was right near where I grew up.
  13. BOX has been confusing to me from what they did yesterday and these storm reports. They said radar confirmed in CT meaning it must have had a TDS. From what I saw, it did not look like there was one.
  14. It’s a refreshing change, but ready for beach weather by tomorrow.
  15. I saw a bunch of pics from Easton, Brockton, and west Bridgewater.
