  1. I used to hear a lot of that. Crappy skiing conditions. Probably from the cutters lol.
  2. We’ve also been disproportionately warm compared to many other areas of the country as well. No doubt a CC signal in the background, but there’s definitely some short term fluctuations that are enhancing the background signal compared to the Plains for example.
  3. Missed the good stretch ( exception of 94-95) from 92-96. Probably don't recall that shitty 97-00 seasons luckily. 98-99 was ok where you are. Then you became a burgeoning weenie after '02 I bet when you probably started to remember more events/seasons as you got older. No wonder you get cranky. Growing up during the atmospheric and sports euphoria. Welcome back to our childhood. No snow and loserville.
  4. I missed that whole lows are lower comment. No way as you showed.
  5. I remember so many bitter cold days with brown ground. Honestly, that is what comes to mind when I hear "80s."
  6. I think we saw that in March 2010 as well down by NYC. Similar idea. This was the event that kick started the flooding in SNE. Maybe to some extent that October 2021 storm in SE MA? Obviously we know it happened with Sandy.
  7. My old boss lived in Exeter at the time and he got leveled. Trees all over.
  8. Yeah curled right into NE MA. Jesus what a beast on radar. Wish we were there.
  9. I guess I can look back, but I recall the low (or maybe a meso low) made landfall and really enhanced the jet to the north of it.
  10. LLJ ripped into SNH and srn ME. If you are gonna rain while NYC sees a blizzard....may as well get some damage out of it. I recall that never being talked about until literally that day. It seemed like nobody really cared or believed what may happen. I was with my co-worker and we looked at 850 winds (modeled around 100kts IIRC) and just looked at each other and wondered why we had few headlines about it. I also think that is the highest surge (may have been topped since then?) at BOS Harbor. It was low tide and the tide barely went out. However the winds weren't nearly as bad as far NE MA into SNH and srn ME.
  11. I’ll give forky credit as 80 possible in some areas maybe Saturday
  12. Says the guy who only needed a light jacket when it was -12 in Feb.
  13. Dropped 5 degrees into the U30s on way to gym. Need a real airmass.
