LLJ ripped into SNH and srn ME. If you are gonna rain while NYC sees a blizzard....may as well get some damage out of it. I recall that never being talked about until literally that day. It seemed like nobody really cared or believed what may happen. I was with my co-worker and we looked at 850 winds (modeled around 100kts IIRC) and just looked at each other and wondered why we had few headlines about it. I also think that is the highest surge (may have been topped since then?) at BOS Harbor. It was low tide and the tide barely went out. However the winds weren't nearly as bad as far NE MA into SNH and srn ME.

Thanksgiving 89 was a cold event. Not paste inland. Veterans Day 87 was wet initially but it was so effing cold PYM jacked lol. We had an event in Nov 86 that was more paste.

Just read about Will’s 80s recollection. I’ll say it again and beat it over the head of people like Brett. You have no idea how bad it was. 6” was like getting 12-18 now and it’s not hyperbole. You cherished the storms we got and seasons like 86-88. Also, there were a few storms that destroyed the cape and left everyone else screwed. Even where I was, those storms porked and thank god the internet was not around. We only had people like Shelby Scott from WBZ to let us know how bad it was in spots. That hurt enough lol.
