The airmass is terrible to start. The pressure of the high means nothing when it’s that warm to start. It also doesn’t necessarily correlate to temps.
But it will get colder as the storm progresses.

It will definitely be rain to start in many areas I think even inland. So in a way, I could buy a widespread hit from N to S. Southern areas will play catch-up as temps drop and CCB gets going for a time.
It does look like a trough to move in at that time. But on it's heels, will be a -EPO ridge building into AK. All the while the ridging east of the -PNA trough tries to morph into a Hudson Bay block.
