    It’s more downsloping on east winds there. That warms the column too. The deformation zone helped briefly.

    I mean I’ve had plenty of winters where I was lucky to see a coating in December. Even around here December snow average is a mix of coatings and 20”+ months. Higher standard deviation.

    Many north of the pike had some in October. But around here it’s not that rare.
