  1. DGZ is real thick there too. I've honestly never heard of that statement, although I guess they mean that strong winds in the DGZ will fracture them as they develop? I feel like PF rips dendiies a lot with 50kt winds at the summit. Interesting take anyways. I don't necessarily disagree...just never seen flakes themselves ripped apart with strong winds until they make contact with the ground.
  2. I agree there. But take the Jan 2022 blizzard here. We had 40-50mph at the surface and 60kts off the deck, yet it was puking dendrites here until they met the surface. Didn't seem like wind issues to me.
  3. I've had plenty of nor'easters with strong winds and the dendrites stay together. However, when they land...that's when they fall apart. I've never heard of shitty flakes due to strong mid level winds unless they're blowing quite hard? Usually lousy flakes are more due to snow growth.
  4. Looks like Cape and maybe ern PYM county get more moods snows Christmas Day. Sort of a yore stretch for them.
  5. Although I’m anxiously awaiting Ray’s blog for Jacksonville FL if the euro is right while he’s bare.
  6. Even so, I don’t know how you can claim the whole month shaky if it rains on January 4.
  7. Paltry system with a half hour of flakes it seems but will look nice.
  8. I mean maybe there’s a chance, but that’s not what they show currently.
  9. Looks like some decent snow on the outer cape last night too.
  10. I look at ensembles. Early month is shaky, but after that looks good for a time.
  11. Slight N wind and flurries earlier off the water. That limited temp dropping last 10 for now. All clear at the moment.
  12. BTV better hope some bear south of the terminal doesn’t fart because if winds go south they torch so easily.
  13. Very little lift though. Maybe someone gets lucky on SW flow for half inch to inch?
