  1. Forsythia really bloomed last week. Norway maples are starting to leaf out. Won't be long there.
  2. I actually might get two small ones. Easy to have them look at if you maintain them.
  3. Stone can be a good alternative in some spots, but need to be careful. Otherwise your yard will look like something from El Paso.
  4. I do mulch every other year. Second year looks fine still.
  5. I just saw it today. I skipped that and just doing a preemergent with fert.
  6. I’m getting the itch to seed some areas but I know it will torch. I just don’t want it to look bad all summer, but I may not have a choice.
  7. I didn't think they could anymore, I guess so?
  8. I'm getting 6 yds of dark brown mulch delivered tomorrow. Got to edge first though.
  9. Many times new home lawns are terrible and take years to establish. Just be patient.
  10. Nino's typically have shear. But yeah I would guess east based has more of an effect vs central or west. And yes, whether it's AGW or not...a general warmer PAC probably throws off ENSO correlations a tad. As usual, so many things need to get factored in. It's never as simple as saying "well nino or nina mean this or that.."
  11. Nino. May lower overall activity, but as usual, it's the pattern that matters most for us.
  12. We had virtually none last year. I did notice these black beetles on some of my oaks. I think they’re borers? I killed what I could.
  13. Best of both worlds. Become like the guy in Bakersville CT that has those cold temps and get dews as high as possible.
  14. And so it begins. I think my attention is to house related items this year vs lawn.
  15. Is there a way to keep them if they do make sense? If the data is viable...I would think just to leave it in. I know it would help with those maps...but for scientific purposes you could just keep it in.
  16. The euro also was a driving rainstorm a few days before and then jumped SE. it was pretty bad even a few days out. But over last 48 hours it did better. It was a hair too warm though.
  17. Ha, not sure why that posted, but I’m leaving that right there.
  18. This storm will bring out low amounts if you did not do it right. We were 31.5-31.8 and accumulated just fine. Even blowing off roof. I didn’t lose much to road cave, but measured in a shady spot on north side of house where snow stuck immediately. I was highly confident in the amount. The lowest I found was just over 14.5” where the snow was last to accumulate on part of my torch driveway. So I believe Cory.
  19. Love the slide and car pics. You can see the depth. Even up to the swings. Plow pikes were like 3-4'.
  20. Thanks dude. I know it was childish, but I needed this lol. Just so busy with things personally. I just wish I was more bullish, but I’ll take it.
  21. Airport is a disaster from what I hear.
