  1. I can't keep track of what MPM has. He's basically a migrant.
  2. I remember reading something about that. It's possible given a certain wavelength pattern and amplitude I think. I don't see why it can't be one of Tip's "constructive interference" type setup.
  3. Alright well I haven't been there much so I'm not sure...but for awhile there was a disdain for this area. People are just genuinely social and here to have fun and talk weather. Nobody is here to stir the pot except Kevin. I know the weenie humor got a little out of hand back then, but when true threats occur...that won't happen.
  4. Phin has nicely adapted to some of the ball busting and side humor of this forum. I feel like the people in the MA hated us for that reason....felt it was a "boys club." I'm sorry people felt that way, but a lot of us have gotten to know each other. Until recently, we met up at bars, had some drinks and laughs...and weenied out to the Kocin book. Maybe it was the angst from all those years of New England getting snow, but it's a good forum with good people here.
  5. Yeah I don't need HA events and massive fluctuations, just negative in the means like Will said.
  6. Oh for sure lol. Although move that north a couple of hundred miles and it would have been like DC.
  7. That is an awful map. I understand it is difficult to capture all the variations, but a little detail would help instead of just blanketing the whole area in one color. Look at the ranges within the shade of blue/grey. You could try to add some detail in there IMO in the higher spots.
  8. And hey, Siberia snow looks to get off to a good start!!!!! Judah!!!!!
  9. I would just like to see less of a black hole across Greenland as that has been killing the east over the last two seasons. If we get North Pac ridging (west of the PNA domain) that's usually when the cold charges into the Plains and the response more often than not, are for lows to move into NY state. Not always the case, but a little confluence to the north would really help. Pacific is always King, but a little help from the Atlantic Queen of Greenland would be nice.
  10. Not sure it gets much worse, than last year. We got lucky first half of December and then absolute dogshit after.
  11. Is there still a correlation to Oct NAO and winter values? I feel like it wasn't that high IIRC.
  12. Yeah that house is key for kids lol. Looks great dude!
  13. I think that is a different storm there. We meant 12/30/00.
  14. Phin may just want to buy a snow cat so he can go up the driveway and check the mail. LOL. It just sounds like the driveway has no way to avoid becoming a glacier.
  15. LOL, it's kind of a 3-way race with Alex, Jspin, and Phin in a way. It will be interesting to see how it pans out. Jspin might avg a bit less overall...but I'm sure he'll cash in on some upslope at times too. I put you, Ray, and Kevin in that weenie race too. You both aren't far off avg snow wise...give or take a few inches.
  16. I'm wondering how he does compared to Alex in these synoptic events that have 850 flow SE-E. I feel like he may do better just kind of looking at the terrain?
  17. That was a huge stretch for higher el of NNE down through the Catskills.
  18. I actually rode the line on a few storms at my current location in '10-'11...but sign me up. Just wish it didn't shut off after Ground Hog Day.
  19. Nah we want to be buried into March. Then 80 in Napril. Not too much to ask.
  20. You’re in a good spot. Decent CAD and still do well in synoptic events and catch upslope at the same time. You live in a good spot. I know Jspin is probably the ultimate weenie spot that acts like it’s the base of Stowe, but consider yourself fortunate.
  21. Even up where I am in Lake Winni.....we get screwed by the Ossipees. Brian Even does better being further south. But up there it’s just CAD city.
