    Won't be enough in most areas. I'm not sure it's widespread tonight.

    Go for it. The Kancamangus highway that Wxeye was speaking of, will be busy, but likely beautiful. It's a 30 miles stretch of road that goes up to 2800' or so. It connects I-93 Lincoln NH areas to Conway. Anywhere up there into adjacent VT and Maine will look awesome. Even down here, noticing rapid increase in color change.

    Quite the interesting set of years. You got completely hosed in 10-11. Anyways, the signal is very weak for anything decisive right now. I heard some people even entertain a Nina flavor....but I really have no guess right now.

    An interesting pattern on the weeklies. More of a -EPO and some slightly AN heights going to more of a +NAO. Slightly AN heights in the south. Basically a cold Canada with intrusions into the nrn and NE US. Could be AN precip too.

    Looks like some frost and freezes coming up next two nights. Esp radiators.

    The classic spin up without a meso. Pretty cool.

    So what happened is what you described. The warm layer aloft races in, but lower elevation remained able to sustain low wetbulbs and probably refreezes. Of course modeling can be off too, but I bet that is what occurred.

    That sounding doesn’t really show a funny warm layer either. Probably heavily rimed flakes making it down?

    Yeah you can see the wet bulb temp easily supports that. Bingo.

    High 52 here this aftn. Temp rose 1F from this morning.

    It’s certainly possible is there is big one evaporational cooking happening above 950 which I’m sure there is. I haven’t looked at a sounding, but my guess is that you’ll see that.
