I think many of us mentioned it was a real tenuous setup with little room for error. So it should not be a surprise.

I did look briefly and I saw less confluence or a further north ULL in eastern Canada SW of Greenland and also higher ridging out west. You could see the ULL was digging on the EPS with higher heights ahead of it when comparing 18z from 12z.

You did. Methuen got smoked in 2001. Ignoring where I live, this is really a tricky setup for even the interior. What you don’t want to see, is this tuck into snow88s fanny. That will flood 925-850 with some mild air for a time. Get this to go south of LI and it’s boomtown. I have no guess as to what may happen. I can’t help but think this may get close to the coastline of SNE.

I’ve had worse. However, I hate pissing away peak climo. Feb is about as good as it gets around here, but I love Dec and Jan snow. It’s tenacious.

I did like seeing the dynamics. That was a shitload of QPF. It trend south a but with the ULL..but like Will said..the orientation matters. I'd rather see srfc south of LI.
