  1. Just woods and shaded spots here for snow. It's funny. Some yards like 4-6", Other's you could plant flowers.
  2. I think I would like to see more SE flow towards 850mb. But, below that winds to come around to more E-SE which I think is ok for you. I don't think you'll be choking on exhaust.
  3. That's crazy. I mean you can get 2" in early May lol.
  4. After the 6th, EPS looks pretty mild for sure. Lots of creeps in front of Fox Hall in Lowell.
  5. I know it's not imminent, but still should watch the 4-6th. I know I mentioned Zzzzz earlier....but it's probably irresponsible to just gloss over those dates. It's a window for something.
  6. GFS tries for a few SHSN or squalls with the fropa next week. Otherwise, ZZZZZZ.
  7. It’s not something that you immediately pick out per se. In the winter, you have pretty stout features like ridges and troughs that are pretty far apart. For instance we always talk about a ridge out west, because that typically means a nice trough in the east which is what you want for cold and snow. In the Spring you start to lose the good thermal gradients and the flow can get very “wavy,” so for example it’s totally normal to have a trough out west, ridge near the eastern Rockies or Plains, and then another trough in the east. In this example having a trough-ridge-trough means you must have shorter wavelengths. This type of flow also allows for cutoffs, or s/w’s that get cutoff from the jet and can lead to big storms. Think 4/1/97.
  8. Yeah that was a good explanation from PF. He's the king of knowing this stuff. I'd say in your area, I might not want the flow too blocked..although you have the big mtns to your south and southeast, so even a blocked flow is ok there I'd say. The biggest thing is lacking a N-S 4k barrier that acts to lift and pummels the areas around it.
  9. I thought frost quake at first, but I feel like the ground wasn't deeply frozen enough for that? I'm no expert though.
  10. Are you in the sun? Even KTAN was 49. That seems warm.
  11. EPS sort of has an interesting look March 4 and 5. That's probably our only shot for a long time.
  12. Weeklies are interesting during week 3 and 4. Almost a Hudson Bay and far NE Quebec blocking. That's sort of nice to have for bowling ball season. Obviously climo starts to get hostile, but it's not an insurmountable task.
  13. At least you can do stuff in that weather. Nothing worse than 40s. Just put me in an effing coma until Memorial Day.
  14. Both Saturday and Sunday look like poop. Hopefully at least half the days are ok weather wise.
  15. Looks warmer than the last system. I don't think they'll be much except maybe for Dave on N and W.
  16. Yeah those few days where KTAN was going wild.
