  1. Hopefully engaging in violence after mid month.
  2. The pattern does sort of get better and better with each run on the EPS. There is certainly a window there.
  3. I'm just being dumb. The ides of March.
  4. Disappointing storm near and south of BOS, but a great ending.
  5. I think best thump I've ever had. 16.5" and most of that in 3 hrs. We had at least 4-5"/hr rates at one point. I literally had no semblance of visibility out the window. Blue hills had nearly 0.40" in 1 hr of melted liquid. Insane. That fell right at 32.0 as well.
  6. Starting to get on the St Ides train.
  7. I will say the EPS has shown steady interest (at least how I see it) in that period after the late week torch next week. I don't see the classic look yet, but you have a little meridional flow out of NW Canada, a little Greenland ridging, a little confluence in SE Canada. You get the idea.
  8. It’s funny that the 80s winters sucked in general, but had some late season beasts.
  9. ‘84 I believe. Epic tornado outbreak there. Blue hills had a gust around 100mph. Big snows interior and even near the coast got it pretty good near BOS.
  10. 6z GFS was nice. If you look beyond the QPF queens, nice signal near the pike.
  11. There are signs of something maybe mid month or so...maybe continues into the 3rd week of March, but nothing imminent.
  12. The futility topic had me thinking. I wonder if I endured the least snowiest January 1 to December 31 (2012) and snowiest January 1 to December 31 (2015) on record. All within 3 years.
  13. There's a lot of woods and outside of coastal areas, interior Maine isn't prone to many wind events greater than 50-60mph. So you have lots of tall trees getting knocked around by winds 50-60+ like they had downwind of the mountains.
  14. Yeah a little colder and south and we are golden.
  15. I think they need the moisture though. If I’m not mistaken, they are drier than normal. Anyways, the mid month period does look interesting on the EPS.
  16. Now watch the EPS show a backdoor.
  17. 2 years ago tonight was really the mother of all thumps. I'll leave this quote right here from Dendrite about Blue Hill: That’s 0.89” in 3hr. That is batshit crazy. Nearly 0.40" was in 1hr.
  18. Feb was good this year which saves it. I can't complain at all even after getting skunked on 2/1. That was the first real Feb since 2015 here as far as snow and snow pack go.
  19. If we don't get much this month, this winter is maybe a grade better than last year? At least for here. I know it was better in other areas.
