We had three storms that year. 2/7/03, PDII and the March storm (3/8/03?) but 2/7/03 made me realize deformation bands. 16” of snow in like 5hrs.

April ftw that year. That saved the season.

I get it, but a foot is dam respectable. At least it's not like the whole areas got widespread 2"+ and you missed out. Just a narrow area.

The strat stuff is so easy to predict in near term. I don't need to have a doctorate to know that when I see a clear, concentric vortex surrounded by warmer temps (obeys thermal wind laws) then I know that ain't going anywhere. Also, Spring has those final warming events....so is late March or April that unusual for it? So much voodoo out there.

I love the warmth and dews. I can be comfy at home when I need to, but it's not like I'm working outside in the summer paving driveways either. I hated it up to a few years ago. Now with the kids, they enjoy all things water, so bring the torch. It doesn't bother me like it used to.

That was more a deformation deal in the blizzard, but you know what I mean. Just enjoy the dam snow.

I do feel for those that missed out on the biggie a couple of weeks ago. I always hope for a more region wide event. I don't even care about jacking...as long as it's good snows...who cares. If I get 10-12" and someone gets 20", that's cool. I will say the last few years has lost some fun on the boards. Snow maps have ruined it. Before it was tracking the rain/sleet/snow lines. Now it's posting clown maps and obsessing with deformation bands. I just feel like it's taken away some fun. Even me, during the blizzard, I was obsessed with tracking the bands and looking to see what others were getting. I finally put the dam phone down and went outside to enjoy it.

There were about 2 people that cheered for that. Mitch and Ineedsnow. Maybe Ray too since he wears his Adidas warm ups and Bruins jacket all year round.

It is nice outside. But I keep telling myself it's Feb. Maybe we can match this temp in June again?

There’s some signs tropical forcing may move to the dateline. That would help the PNA.

You might do fairly well (relatively speaking) down that way. I guess we watch for fronto bands and maybe edge of CCB here, but I'm not sold on that. Kind of frustrating, but oh well.

A milder end to Feb is in the cards I think. But some signs March may have some bouts of winter and not because of just climo.
