I was in Vegas in the 90s when they had their first rain in 6 months. Roads were literally skating rinks from the oils. Accidents everywhere. The sidewalks were the same I witnessed many slip and falls. The next day was 104 and it felt like walking directly into an oven.

Will try in the one feeder that is messy. But what I noticed is the doves and nut hatches love to ground pick under the messy one.

2 baby woodpeckers are just slamming the suet along with finches, wrens, orioles, bluebirds, cat birds, blackbirds,cardinals, blackbirds and a f in squirrel. Interesting morning of activity. I made suet out of ground cherries and cuties oranges. Man what a hit

With all these new bird feeders around the house I am figuring out they are great indicators of rain. Man they eat like crazy before and during rain.

Oh boy another gorgeous morning. Azure blue sky with wispy cirrus. Low dews and absolute stillness.

Thats the life. We have lots of Ospreys. I watched as the male and female taught the young un how to fish by folding their wings and dive bombing. Still one of my coolest nature scenes.
