I was only 7/8 during the 64/65 drought but I remember our small clay lake ( off of Clay lane) which was fed by artesian water, totally dried up, so there is precedent for long term drought

Same pic in June. Of course Evergreens are green. Forest is dull lots of light due to loss of leaves. Birch, ash, poplars look like shit.

Look closer. All over my yard and driveway are dead leaves curled up tighter than you and your favorite chicken in bed. I did this and yep no drainage.
