    This is a great post. I too, can't believe the lack of winter in the northern plains, Canada and upper Midwest. Even in NNE they were just barely cold enough most of the time when it did snow.

    There was a region wide three to six inch event in January that season and a few other minor events. It was a bad winter for sure though

    I didn't think we would go down through December without any measurable snow but it looks like it's possible. Doesn't happen often but I remember winter 06-07 where we didn't get measurable til the end of January.

    There was a messy one right after...a I kinda miss the occasional clippers, the increasing high clouds through dimming sunshine is winter's beauty at some of it's finest. The modest amount of powdery snow that follows makes it even better.

    I had two inches in Bristol CT and I was thrilled. I remember watching the weather on TV all day. I think some parts of eastern CT had over 8 inches and then emass got lit up. Pretty sure that was a clipper redevelopment. Was super fluffy

    Wow and from an Arctic front. This current storm has already ruined enough lives down in Tennessee.

    I think we just got more than a tenth of an inch of rain. Was torrential for a few minutes along with a little sleet.

    You know what I admire about you more than your writing and explanation of weather phenomenon? You are not afraid to speak your mind. I just thought no one would ever have the balls to bring up the other side of snow making especially with all the skiers on the site. You rock!

    He was the first one to call the 80 degree wx on Wednesday. Have to give credit where it's due. He's actually been right a bunch of times when it mattered.

    Wow that weather that you don't like I welcome with open arms. Relief starts Sunday, it's just too warm and muggy out for this time of year.

    Need a snow event like this but less qpf, the whole slow moving back building kind of thing and buries just about everyone region wide....18 to 30 area wide lollis to 40 or so for the usual spots like Taunton and NYC and Berks. Not a ton of wind and during the daytime so we get the best views
