Surprised somewhat by the amount of rain today here. Between the morning session and the line of storms this evening, we tipped the bucket at 1.19" for the calendar day.
Oh, I hope you don't have a cuff issue. I'm already going crazy being in this sling and I still have 5 weeks to go. Then the real rehab comes after that. I'll make it, but it's a real test of patience and fortitude. Especially if you're an independent person (like me) who doesn't like relying on others for help.
Hope whatever's bugging your shoulder is minor and temporary.
Line came together too late for us in Tamaqua. The sun is actually trying to come back out up here. Allentown to Reading to Lancaster look good for a nice event, though.
Well, since this proved to be (so far) the most boring Severe Thunderstorm Watch I've seen in a long time, I figured I'd share the latest addition to my wardrobe...
Wow!!! Thanks so much for the well wishes! It means a lot!
A couple of good storms blew through here this afternoon. True to this Summer's theme, when they're born between Pottsville and Hazleton, we get hit good. 1.61" in the gauge at last look.
I hope not. I'm a go big or go home type of guy. Two inch snowfalls don't cut it for me. Watching those heavy echos stream northward and then just get eaten up by dry air was maddening.
It's pretty incredible how you got nothing out of today's storms. And that pic you posted of US30 just blows my mind. I used to run through there 2-3 times per week when I drove for A&S Kinard.
Well, it held together for me. Heavy rain, lots of CTG strikes. Not much wind though. If radar is correct, we have a bit to go yet as well. Pottsville looks like it's going to get slammed, and that is moving this way. Up to 0.84" for the day now.
If it all holds together, it looks like I'll get a good soaking here in a little while. Of course I-81 has a habit of sucking the life out of storms before they ever get to Tamaqua, so who knows. The big rains from a few weeks ago were from storms that kept re-firing over my backyard and did not drop off the I-81 ridge.
