So is Central/East PA the screw zone for today? Quite the hole in the precipitation over here.
Side note, New Jersey issued a full commercial vehicle ban so I'm back home and don't have to go to NYC today.

For those whom are interested. I just walked in my front door. Started today at 5:15am. Now I get to go right to bed so I can leave at 7:00am to go to NYC.
No sympathy from the boss, either. If there's no ban, I'll likely have to go. Gotta love it. Get home and run right to bed (without supper) so I can be rested enough (barely) to safely run tomorrow...FML...

Poor Voyager.

Currently sitting in the parking lot at MetLife Stadium, but have to get back to Dickson City, Wilkes-Barre, and then Hazleton before going home. Then tomorrow I'm supposed to leave out at 7:15am for 10:15am at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal to pick up returning passengers.

Taking a big bus into Pier 88 Monday for a 10:15am pick-up. Not looking forward to it at all. Especially the ride across I-80 in NJ afterward. It's going to be fun...not.

Well, our snowfall total was already cut back. On the maps last night, Pottsville was listed at 4-6 inches, and now it's 2-3. I started to embrace the snowfall, hoping that PA would institute a commercial vehicle ban for Monday, but if they keep cutting back, it'll just be a slick nuisance variety mess, and I'll have to run.
I really need to move away from this area...

If you leave after sunrise it might be ok. I’m not sold on too much ice overnight Saturday- I think Sunday late into Monday snow is a much more challenging travel issue.
I really hope your right. Monday I go to NYC, but I've got a bit more wiggle room on that one if it's bad.

I personally do not think Sunday is going to be that bad for for most areas south of i80. Monday is still up for grabs. Would not surprised me to see some LSV locales get 2-3" of snow. Euro is all rain for Sunday.
I'm worried because my itinerary is to pick up in Wilkes-Barre, Pittston, and Dickson City, and then go right through the heart of the Poconos on I-380 to I-80 to the Water Gap and into New Jersey.

There will be a real sharp cutoff somewhere with this one. Unfortunately Berks seems to be in the cross-hairs for the cutoff. The Ukie and Euro look good, the CMC, GFS, RGEM, NAM, etc. not the greatest for our area. I'm just trying to figure out when I want to drive back to school Sunday. Icy start to the day.
Wanna drive my Prevost tour bus to MetLife Stadium for me on Sunday? Gotta roll around 5:30 am, go up to Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, then come down through the Poconos on 380 to 80 and be there in time for them to tailgate...
Not looking forward to it at all.

Worst part of all this, for me, is that we have a high end client going to an NFL game and I got assigned the run. There's no opportunity for me to say it's "too icy" or the roads are "too bad" and "I'm not running". We'll lose the customer, and I'll get fired.

Hopefully road, street, and sidewalk temps are 33 or above or there is nothing nice about that. I have to pick up in Wilkes-Barre @ 6:30am to go to the game. Unlike other charters which can be postponed if the roads are bad, this cannot since it's an NFL game and they will be tailgating...
And before anyone says anything...yes, I should move to Florida or back to Arizona, but the ONLY way that happens is via divorce.

Im really not liking this one as I just picked up Sunday work now as well. Taking a group to MetLife Stadium for the Packers/Giants game. No snow/ice please...

I know they're trying to offer a quick visual overview of potential impact but I want to gouge my eyes out every time I see those graphics.
We all learn differently and apparently that isn't the method that connects with me.
Me neither, but to the "Average Joe", I suppose it works.

Rubik's Cube forecasting model. I like it...lol

That Tuesday Hour 162 map would be a disaster for me as I have to go to NYC and pick up a group at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal Monday late morning. Somehow I think they'll want me to trudge through and get them and not have to stay in the city...

Missed it by 5 miles. Pottsville, Frackvile, Mahanoy City. Snow. Tamaqua? Nope.
Not sure if it was subsidence or downsloping, but it never materialized here.

Here as well so you are not alone. It is pouring rain and we are up at 800' while the valleys to my east are accumulating snow.
Actually, it's been precipitation free all morning here in town. Up on I-81 though is a different story. This pic was taken by my neighbor somewhere between Pine Grove and Hometown.

Nothing here but a cold, gray, ugly morning...

I hit the worst of the snow on I-81 going over the Nanticoke hill. Completely snow and ice covered and 20 mph up and down each side. Now down at Sight & Sound in Lancaster and just cold and windy.

Nam is sure bouncing around but the other run was the 18z.
Be nice to see some flurries today.
I know it's all "noise" as to the correct placement of where any "heavier" accumulations set up, but I couldn't resist posting...lol

But look at that Schuylkill County snow hole...lol

While I'm all-in on any Snowvember, I'm not all-in on Novembuary with those lows.
Me neither. Way too cold way too early...

The 00z Euro still shows the weekend snow, and the 06z GFS shows it (but later, on Monday) as well...

I suppose they have to find motel rooms either in the city or NWNJ and get picked up tomorrow. I'm sure it does suck, but if there is a commercial ban, we can't legally go in or over to get them. I risk points on my license and a personal fine, and the company risks a fine as well as getting shut down in place until the ban is lifted.
