Those localized downslope winds always amaze me. The evap cooling probably helps those winds mix down. Meanwhile it was raw and rainy here with mostly light winds until evening.

Yeah I think that's the hope for a dryish Halloweenie. Get the warm frontal precip through the area and try to shut the precip off or turn it showery before the heavier rain approaches with the cold fropa. There's a shitstreak s/w that passes north of us midweek that seems to sneak in a little cooler air into the low levels to give us the overrunning as the return flow cranks back up overhead.

Winter here is long, dark, and grueling. I never understood why people want to rush it. Let it arrive in December, get a couple months of fun, and then we Napril. Of course dendy leans a little warmer than he used to.

I assume you mean western conifer seed bugs. We always seem to get attacked by them and the ladybugs the first warm day in late October.
