    The title has grown on me. It fits the month so far. Duped by a favorable longwave pattern that only delivers for the MA and SE.

    It’s the 1991-2020 normal. Even though the numbers are climbing I doubt the date of the coldest mean is changing that much. I would’ve figured BOS was later, but they’re 1/23 as well.

    Climo min avg temp here is Jan 23 so yeah, we’re about 10 days away from the halfway point.

    Yeah I don’t pay for that. Depth increase down there is about 2” so sure, there’s probably a handful of decent outcomes right now. Someone else can post the L maps or probs.

    Most of the gefs members for the 19th are brief starts as frozen that quickly turn to rain. There’s a few in there that deliver for 21-23.

    -22C 850s for us on the d10ish mean. Good chance for the coldest since Feb ‘23. Hopefully we have a little pack by then. All of my soil sensors are currently frozen.
