    What a stretch that was. I just checked out the COOP forms up here and although we only had 11" in that we had 12.5" a few days later on 1/14. Then we had 15" in the blizz and only a 1/2" the rest of the month.

    Not a classic inv trough, but that strong DPVA coming through with the upper level vortmax does converge winds a bit at the sfc. Like Scoot said, probably some SHSN as things destabilize a bit.

    I can’t even imagine living up that high in upslope land. I’d probably reach the point where I’d truly hate the snow and cold. They probably struggle to hit 80° in the summer too. Would be cool to experience it for a year or two though.
