  1. The mosquitoes are other worldly up here right now. This should help.
  2. I heard they closed the mall due to flooding.
  3. HRRR fires up some more later. I’d like to see some breaks after this batch moves out.
  4. Jfc the system has to go west to east. Give it time.
  5. Rotation petering out a bit over the MA border. Wish we had a better view from Hollis.
  6. Hopefully we can rip out some maple taps for metherb.
  7. I had poop in my gauge. I cleared it out and heard 37 tips but the Davis only recorded 4 of them. So I’m stuck adding 0.33” to my daily total. And I never cleared my stratus which had 1.16” in it. I figured I left 0.40” in it from the other day which made 0.76” which matched up well with my Davis+33 tips had at the time. So I’m at 0.88”+0.33”=1.21” right now.
  8. I’ve done over 10” on the Davis here. There was a max of 0.16” in a minute in there IIRC.
  9. Pope will get a tor after he leaves for Italy.
  10. Yeah currently a deluge…not sure if there’s bird poop in the gauge. Some is getting through though. Looks like we’ll get a piece of that heavier line running from Andover to Antrim. Looks like it could be another 2 inch day.
  11. The rotating cyclone claimed 2 oxen and the roof of George Willoughby’s chestnut barn on this day.
  12. Tor warning for my mom. Had a feeling that was a little suspicious in a bad radar area. Right about to go over her now
  13. Looks like quite a wet day up here based on radar trends.
  14. They don’t tell you what stations they use, but they compute a QC analysis for each variable using specific stations around the site. Then the error is calculated from that analysis. It’s not always perfect and there’s times you can toss it during mesoscale effects (ie a seabreeze only at BOS), but generally it works pretty well.
  15. Their sensor always seems to read high in the summer…especially in higher dews. They’re an AWOS and those older sensors were notorious for that. EEN and LCI used to have that problem as well. But ASH averages a good 2-3° too high this time of year.
