Canceled soccer matches today in England, Belgium and Netherlands. That doesn't happen often. Wind damage and flooding in England with lots of rail service shut down. Glad I didn't pick this week to make the trip.My son in Germany just texted me they cancelled schools because of wind warnings. Guess that storm we had last week screamed across the Atlantic

0.6. Now with rain. The winter of SNE’s discontent....
Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York;
And all the clouds that lour'd upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried. -

Just purchased my Boston Calling tickets for Memorial Day Weekend. How’s the forecast look?
It is severe season, so I'd go with cool, damp with an east wind and 60% chance of sheet drizzle. How's PSV Eindhoven doing this season?

Any thoughts on start time? I drive down route 24 to Warren, RI on Tuesdays to bowl in a 9:00 league. We finish about 11, and I'm not a fan of driving up 24 in the snow!

Has today's snow squall threat fizzzzzled too? Haven't had a chance to look at anything this morning, but seems pretty dead in here.

Had about 3" in Randolph before the changeover. 37 and miserable rain and wind when I left home at 6:30. Hoping for the good stuff tonight!

If the GFS were to verify verbatim, that would be really cool from a meteorological standpoint. The Day 7 threat is associated with the near record strength storm coming ashore in Oregon tomorrow. Then it produces a blizzard in the northern plains. Followed by our modeled storm day 7.
Not too many single storm systems have that type of impact from coast to coast. I can't recall any......thoughts?
Didn't March 1993 have coast to coast effects, just further south?

Just in case it never snows again, here is what winter used to look like. 5 years ago today, and there was plenty more on the way.
