I saw a RI drone view from last year and it was wow. Thousands of acres of dead oaks. Now I see evidence of ash borers and rotted trees attacked by fungus and ants. A hurricane will be devastating in SNE
Amazing how many dead branches we've had come down this year and I'm pretty sure it was from the gypsy moths. Waiting to see what the oaks are going to look like once the leaves come out.

Same here. Seems to come in waves and does not seem to be dependent on precip rate. Raining hard here now, but fairly calm.
-
Hail or graupel now. Not sure which, but grass is getting covered.

Still raining, sun poking through, and wind suddenly roaring!

Thunder, lightning and deluge now.

Know Nate well. Great album
Back in the day (early 1970s), there was rock that sounded a whole lot more country that what passes for country these days . . . Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris . . .

Yeah, a lot of the time it's not even showing up on radar but it just doesn't stop. Impressive event around here. Wind hasn't been terrible, but a bunch of small branches down. You’re over double than me. Impressive. Sheet rain ftw

Up to 2.75 now on the day. Probably close to 3.5 since it started yesterday.

I think it's just land/sea covergence with help of the terrain. I've only had like 1.1" Most of the rain is to my SW.
I'm guessing I'm probably just a few miles west of you. About a mile south of 128 and half mile east of 24. Hardly any letup in the rain all day.

Radar looks like the rain keeps building right over my head. Something to do with the flow over the Blue Hills? Up to almost 1.9 since midnight, so well over 2 inches since it started yesterday.
-
1.14 just since midnight. Mud season is off to a great start.

Giant flakes now. Grassy surfaces covered and starting to stick on patio. Fun for a little while longer. Down to 33.

Down to 35 and if you look real carefully you can see a little coating on some grassy areas. Everything else just wet. Looks like a real wet snow with flakes fall really fast.
-
39 F and first flakes arrived about 10 minutes ago in Randolph. Pretty quickly gone from flurries to steady light snow. Looking forward to not shoveling the driveway!

64 and cloudy here south of Boston. A little sun and I think we make 70! First robins in the back yard today.

Well at least we got to see a few patches of snow in England. Most I have seen in about 2 months.

In London to watch Manchester City at Wembley today. Went to watch a match at Fulham yesterday and got hit by a 15 minute wind blown graupel storm that blew across the Thames. At least I got to see something frozen and white falling from the sky for the first time in a while.

But at least it is nice out! 64F* at Logan and 65F** at OWD. I'll be looking for the redwings on the train ride home.
