  1. That would not surprise me. Napes and flip flops on Christmas again maybe
  2. You mean October isn’t a winter month? I don’t really expect much other than rogue flakes before December. Maybe we get lucky and get a sloppy inch or two in November...in the meantime, we get nor’easters
  3. Almost bought a Subie this spring. Went with another Mazda CX-5...wife has one as well. Great little car. The Mitsubishi’s are a decent value but are a bit odd...neighbor has a 2017 and he likes it.
  4. We seesaw. Steady as she goes. ACATT can wait a few more weeks
  5. Cold rain. 39F. Drip drop. 15 min from Wachusett
  6. I would not be shocked if the net gain in income from early openings and late finishes results in an overall boost in a resort’s yearly income. People will flock mid season if their appetite has been whetted by news of the place being open. Not sure how one could compute that...
  7. I always kid around about the big October snows=crappy winter. The SNE sample size is very small. 2 events at ORH >6” in October. Both of those were bad winters, but just noise really. Will always pulls out the number of measurable October years for ORH and it is significant, but I think it is 50/50 where we get good or bad overall winters from that.
  8. I thought it would go bonkers with that thing in Mexico....oops
  9. Impressive winds overnight. Negated the two hours of leaf blowing I did yesterday
  10. Isn’t it basically just one chair and a couple of Trails? Those will see a long line and a crowded trail but it is a tiny fraction of what they usually see. edit 4 trails...3 lifts. Still a tiny amount, but nice they could do this
  11. How low was the last Oct 27(I think that date is right) low? edit. Oct 29 and looks like it got to 972?
  12. Could go for a beefy autumnal blow. Those can be pretty fun, even if all rain. Got to get some practice in tracking
  13. Brian Cashman said something. bulliten board material 27.4F here
  14. Cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water. Our shark
  15. Agreed. I had been expecting mid to upper 20s here this morning with a sub 40 high. Off by around 3-5F
  16. Just missed some snow showers to my north... Gardner, Winchendon, Royalston MA all had a coating. Nice to see cars with a crust while driving into work on Rte Poop (2) 30.1F for my low
  17. This reminded me of the short story by him called "There Will Come Soft Rains". One of his more depressing ones. There is also "The Long Rain"...very depressing, as well as "All Summer in a Day"...hey...depressing! Have a nice day
  18. First freeze for many incoming. End of the growing season
