  1. I’m getting around one student per week being out for Covid. Either themselves or someone in their household. But def way down. No adult I know in quite a while
  2. I would be scared of Olive Garden... that food is terrible (actually it is sort of a guilty pleasure for me... microwaved salty "Italian" food)
  3. I really enjoy the 110 Grille They make a good Moscow Mule! Anyway, some relaxed regs in Mass starting tomorrow. Amusement parks (Six Flags), indoor singing, road races, stadiums etc will be allowed 25% Looking to do my first flying in late July
  4. I’m thinking by end of summer for stores etc.
  5. India is out of control. They are reporting 4000+ deaths per day but based on crematoriums that number is likely 4-6 times that.
  6. Decent drink incoming for this area tonight.
  7. 35.5F low here. A few Windows were open a bit so the house was a bit chilly this morning.
  8. The one near me makes decent sushi. I get it for a weekend lunch sometimes if the guy is making it fresh. Good dragon rolls. Had some RI sopressa a couple of weeks ago on a charcuterie board. I forget the name of who made it.
  9. Iceland trip gaining steam.
  10. I like how they had it done in Ether. And the 10% thing seems interesting
  11. I haven’t been in one in 20 years or so. They had great salsa I remember. I do a majority of my grocery shopping at Price Chopper in Gardner. They added a beer and wine aisle a couple of years ago and their food selection went way down. There used to be a Stop and Shop nearby that I liked but it closed when they merged with Hannaford. Lots of people in my town drive out to Athol for Market Basket. Super cheap but very busy and chaotic
  12. They used to sell a blend of wine called Two Buck Chuck for $2. Not sure about now
  13. Steak has been pretty expensive for a while though. I def have noticed that. Steak tips $9/lb seems typical.
  14. Yeah. I only buy paper goods and cleaning stuff at Walmart now (which I despise). But their bulk stuff is better for us plus it is very close to me and easier than the supermarket
  15. Maybe not as much I guess. We do eat a bunch of chicken and that has stayed steady for us. Some ground beef. Just made good burgers from 85% for $4 per lb. maybe I follow sales too much? Bacon has def gone up a bunch.
  16. There is one in the city in which I work but I haven’t been there. Some people love it. I finally went into a Wegman’s for the first time a few weeks back. Cheaper than I thought. Good beer selection too
  17. It is still used in a lot of things. But yeah. It is down as a beverage
  18. Milk prices haven’t moved much in over a year. Yogurt same. Egg prices fluctuate wildly every year.
  19. Also regarding the soda water anything in aluminum cans went up last year due to those prices going up
  20. Yup. Lack of truckers especially those with hazmat endorsements. That could cause gas hikes.
  21. I disagree. I’m the one who does the food shopping in my house (for 20+ years) and I don’t see the prices up overall that much. Some items yes. Paper good and cleaning supplies have been gouged
  22. Anyone travel to Iceland recently (pre pandemic or during). Thinking of going this summer
  23. “In 2021, food-at-home prices are expected to increase between 1.0 and 2.0 percent, and food-away-from-home prices are now expected to increase between 2.5 and 3.5 percent. Despite these predicted increases, inflation for most food categories is expected to be at or below their 20-year historical averages—exceptions include nonalcoholic beverages, other foods, and fresh fruit.”
