  1. Wife and I went kayaking on our local lake. Saw 2 (maybe 3?) loons, a great blue heron (hadn’t see one there before) and the bald eagle. Other than a couple of distance swimmers and a few kayaks, it was pretty empty. Much different than July 4th when it was super busy.
  2. Gross and foul air here this morning. Give me a repeat of yesterday please.
  3. Per NWS Each National Weather Service Forecast Office issues some or all of the following heat-related products as conditions warrant. NWS local offices often collaborate with local partners to determine when an alert should be issued for a local area. For instance, residents of Florida are much more prepared for 90°F+ weather than residents in Alaska.
  4. What a treat to have a 3 day holiday weekend without rain.
  5. A +19.2 day in summer is pretty damn hot. I doubt we see that again this summer.
  6. Indeed. That 4 day stretch was nails. but the first half was pretty cool
  7. Did Greenfield have fireworks on the 4th and 5th? No towns around me were doing them either night but I heard distant ones from the west. I doubt I would be able to hear them from Greenfield.
  8. 86F for my high here. Was hoping for upper 80s to 90. Wanting the pool to be a bit warmer.
  9. 85/72 at the closest Davis to me. HI of 92 very warm. KFIT 92/66. HI of 95 great pool weather.
  10. Warm and dewy. Great July couple of days. Upper 80s incoming here. 90s for many.
  11. They weren’t nearly as bad here as a few nights ago. Lower dews maybe?
  12. We were told that the dog we adopted was afraid of fireworks. A lot of people in our area (not directly next door) were doing them. We were out by the solo stove. She wasn’t bothered.
  13. I do recall some miserable cold and rainy ones around 10-15 years ago I also remember a very hot one in 1999 I think?
  14. Wind was pretty brisk on our local pond, but the resident bald eagle was happy to show up.
  15. Did you see the video of the dude shoveling hail in Foster?
  16. 80.2F here for my high. you are in a torchy spot this year
  17. In case anyone really can’t figure this out on their own: https://customerservice.costco.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/701/~/what-are-costco’s-holiday-closures%3F
