  1. Should be a great week for all. A little something for everyone
  2. Napalm, Agent Orange, Lesco... whatever it takes. I used 3 cans of Raid on the nest at my pool... still see a couple now and then
  3. Let’s get my pool temp back up.
  4. We were in Bennington VT earlier today. In the way home the car thermo was reading 54F at 3PM
  5. Wasn’t BOS well inland for a while? (Which would make it even more impressive if that were the case)
  6. Not trying to be a smartass, just generally curious… which sites have 150 years of data… I assume BHO…CON?
  7. Above normal as far as temps go. Less precip than normal. More humid than normal.
  8. A very warm July. A heat wave at 1K at the end. Dry in terms of precip but super humid We take
  9. Skiing at 0 or sitting in my pool at 95 I’ll take either (0 isn’t the best. 10F would be appreciated
  10. Regarding Kevin’s flies…were they typical houseflies? Back before we bought our house we lived in an apartment in an old house in Gardner for a few years. Each summer there was a hatch of something called cluster flies in the upstairs (unoccupied) level of that apartment. Hundreds of them. But they were different than houseflies.
  11. Managed another 92 here (92.3) so a heat wave. Second of the season. Rare I get those here.
  12. Back to our ongoing “Hawk talk”, this guy has been hanging out on the edge of our pool and on our basketball hoop. Young red tail? He/she is loud.
  13. Lawns (while I love a nice, lush, green one) are not great as far as maintaining a minimal environmental impact. They soak up a ton of water and don’t keep things as cool as native species. that being said, a stressed lawn is more susceptible to disease, etc. rain would certainly help. Dry July for sure.
  14. Same here (temp wise). Was a bit lower yesterday (63).
  15. Anything is possible. It is a logarithmic scale. An 8.0 is 10 times more powerful than a 7.0.
  16. First week or so will be close to average methinks. Then it heats right back up.
  17. Made it to 94.8F here. 95. Second hottest of the season.
  18. Naw. It started in March, ya know…when some installed. So almost half done
